"Renegade graffiti vandal" Toby (George MacKay) - against advice from his partner Jay (Percelle Ascott), who's about to become a Dad - decides to rob the home of former judge Hector Blake (Hugh Bonneville) ... who seems to be hiding some dark secrets of his own.  It's a half-thought out thriller, skimpy with necessary details (has Anvari ever heard of something called a "motive"?) and presented in a scatterbrained manner.  As it turns out, the "villain" is actually an "ally in disguise": Blake's progressive politics (protecting the LGBTQ+ community, immigrants and all that) is just a way for him to "cover up" his closeted transgressions ... which is frankly a risky move in today's cinema.  Kelly Macdonald has a nice part as Toby's (rightfully) concerned mother (who meets a nasty end); Bonneville probably relished the chance to play the opposite of the role he had on Downton Abbey. Lord Grantham would not have tolerated any of this treachery.
