The Trip

Director: Roger Corman
Year Released: 1967
Rating: 0.5

Director/producer Peter Fonda gets 'turned on' to acid by dodgy friend Bruce Dern and proceeds to see colors and patterns and horses and more colors, oh dear. The most truthful moment in this gimmick comes from, of all people, Dennis Hopper as a High Priest of Getting High where he laments how culture has been damaged by advertising ... but after that digression it goes back to special effects and rambling. Very much a product of its time - most 'reasonable' people nowadays ('reasonable' being 'people not currently attending college') would say messing around with LSD is probably not the best life choice.
