Essentially the same movie as Flesh, only with a slightly different set-up - here, instead of Joe Dallesandro being a hustler, Joe is a junkie, and he's managed to surround himself with some exquisitely bizarre figures - including the more obnoxious-than-hell Holly Woodlawn - all of whom are looking for either drugs or love (or both - why the hell not?). Morrissey's clearly infatuated with Joe (nothing new here) and Joe makes a pretty goddamn convincing addict - making me wonder how much of this is 'real' - but aside from kitsch appeal, there isn't much there.
