Angel Face

Director: Otto Preminger
Year Released: 1952
Rating: 1.5

Not sure what the big deal is over this, using the Postman Always Rings Twice plot once again and with only minor deviations, like giving Jean Simmons an Electra Complex (even this is weak - if ever a heroine had a bizarre relationship with her father it was Natalie Wood in Rebel Without a Cause) and having a downbeat 'surprise' ending (which I found to me more silly than shocking). The best scene in this movie is the courtroom scene, which isn't always a good sign (unless that movie is the great Anatomy of a Murder, and the entire movie is a large courtroom scene).
