Foxy Brown (1974) review

When her boyfriend Michael Anderson (Terry Carter), an undercover narcotics agent, is gunned down (even after having plastic surgery to alter his appearance), Foxy Brown (Pam Grier) decides to serve her dose of revenge piping hot by first posing as a prostitute (and making a fool out of a judge) and then targeting powerful drug dealer Ms. Katherine Wall (Kathryn Loder) and her "love interest" Stevie Elias (Peter Brown).  Unlike Coffy, which is a notably nasty blaxploitation release, this is chopped up, barely coherent, horribly acted and takes a full hour until the griminess ensues, which includes Foxy getting into a fight in a lesbian bar and being abducted (and raped) by racist hicks.  The conclusion must have made 70's audiences squeal with joy, however, as Foxy slices off Elias' junk, stuffs it into a pickle jar and sends it to Ms. Wall: that's what they should do to cheaters and other bad dudes on The Maury Povich Show.
