Bride Hard
Director: Simon West
Year Released: 2025
Rating: 0.0
Maid-of-honor Sam (Rebel Wilson), who leads a "double life" as a secret agent, has to sneak away from a bachelorette party in Paris for her best friend Betsy (Anna Camp) in order to stop baddies who have a bioweapon, even though this makes Betsy so upset she strips Sam of her title and gives it to Virginia (Anna Chlumsky); back in the States, Sam attends her wedding near Savannah but it's disrupted when domestic terrorists, led by Kurt (Stephen Dorff), invade the estate for the gold they have in a vault. It's a lame attempt to try to replicate the success of Bridesmaids (and maybe a little bit of Spy with Melissa McCarthy), except nothing about it is funny, the acting (especially Ms. Camp) is atrocious and sitting through the entirety of it is the equivalent of being tied to a stake, doused in honey and slowly chewed apart by ants. Everyone involved needs to first take a look at whatever fancy degrees they may have earned in the past and then spend at least an hour staring at themselves in the mirror and reevaluating their career choices. But then again, what can you expect from a filmmaker whose greatest accomplishment is directing the music video for "Never Gonna Give You Up" by Rick Astley?
