Bill & Ted Face the Music

Director: Dean Parisot
Year Released: 2020
Rating: 1.0

Close to thirty years have passed since Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey, and our less-than-smart middle aged guitar gods (Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter) are informed that the world will end if they don't make the perfect song to unite the planet, so while they race around time to figure out how to write the tune, their daughters (Brigette Lundy-Paine and Samara Weaving) recruit legendary musicians (Jimi, Louis, Wolfy) for their supergroup.  I recognize that the first two Bill & Ted movies were supposed to be super silly romps but the sheer number of plot holes in this make it completely nonsensical (oh look, an Infinite Button!) ... so this should be relegated to the Midnight Movie timeslot ... or better yet, put it on in the background while you vacuum your rugs.  As far as positives are concerned, I like how Lundy-Paine and Weaving imitate their fathers ... and I have no doubts in my mind Kid Cudi (playing "himself") is quite possibly from another dimension.
