Food, Inc.

Director: Robert Kenner
Year Released: 2008
Rating: 2.0

"Important" message movie leaves a lot to be desired in terms of style but seems to have its heart in the right place: the food industry in America needs some serious regulation, because - among other problems - we're steadily being poisoned by the amount of corn in our meals. Gives tertiary details about lobby groups and government corruption and encourages consumer awareness, although this is all a little late in arrival, with Eric Schlosser's book Fast Food Nation and Michael Pollan's book The Omnivore's Dilemma having already taken the Chief Players to task (both gentlemen appear here to reiterate what many people have known for years). Suspiciously, Wal-Mart gets a pat-on-the-back ... and logically agreed to take part in the film.
